One Packet, Many Uses

Traditional Dip

Contents of Packet
4 oz sour cream
4 tbl water or milk

Mix well, refrigerate for a couple of hours to allow flavors to blend before serving.

Casserole 

Contents of Packet
4 oz sour cream
1 Egg
4 tbl water or milk
1lb of Protein or 2lb of frozen vegetables
or 1lb each protein and vegetables
1 cup shredded cheese (Optional)

Preheat oven to 325° mix contents  reserving half cheese if using.  Pour contents in a 8x8 oven safe dish.  Bake covered for 25 minutes, remove foil cover with remaining cheese and return to oven to melt cheese. 

Salad Dressing

Contents of Packet
2 tbl Mayonaise
1/2 cup milk or buttermilk

Whisk all ingredients, store in fridge until ready to use. 

Vinaigrette or marinade

Contents of Packet
4oz oil, olive, avocado or coconut
2 tbl whole grain or choice of mustard
4 tbl lemon juice or choice of vinegar
4 tbl water

Whisk all ingredients, store in fridge until ready to use

Cream Sauce

Contents of Packet
4 oz sour cream
2 tbl butter
4 tbl water or milk

Whisk all ingredients in a small sauce pan, warm over low to medium heat, pour over enchiladas, steak, chicken, pork or pasta. 

Seasoned Rice

Add Package Contents to 2 Cups cooked rice, alternative method

Brown 1 cup rice and 1/2 cup broken vermicelli, fide or angel hair pasta in 2 tablespoons butter or oil.  add 1 1/2 cups of water and package contents.  Bring to a boil, lower heat to simmer and cook covered for 12 -15 minutes. 

Crockpot Meal

Contents of packet, 1-2 lbls protein of choice. 
1 stick butter or margarine
cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8.  If using vegetables add last half to 1 hour of cooking time.
